The comment period on the Public Review Draft is now closed.

Thank you to everyone who submitted comments and shared feedback!

What’s next: 

  • The project team is reviewing each comment and suggesting revisions based on the comments. Those recommended revisions will be detailed and available publicly.

  • The Borough Planning Commission and Assembly will consider the recommended revisions, decide what revisions to implement, and proceed with the plan adoption process.

  • Public comment will be accepted during the adoption process at the Planning Commission and Assembly meetings. (Meeting dates will be posted here when announced.)

  • The Public Review Draft is still available to review below. Please note: This version will change slightly for the Aug. 28th Planning Commission meeting (some minor technical edits will be made.)

What is a Comprehensive Plan?

A combination of long-term vision, goals, and practical strategies that will:

Guide decisions about land use, community facilities, transportation, economic development, and utilities.

Provide a roadmap for the future, with clear priorities and actions.

The Comprehensive Plan will serve as a community resource and guide for community leaders, residents, and other partners to protect what residents value most about the Lake and Peninsula Borough while enhancing the quality of life for future generations.
